Only Three Months to Live

by Victor Thomas

Chapter 7

I sat across from Leif in the Chouteau Café on a Saturday morning in late October. He was wearing both a sweater and a jacket because he chilled easily. I was wearing one of Anthony's old flannel shirts and the warmth was welcome.

"No arguments. We're both getting sinful French toast, bacon, chocolate milk, and hot tea. I'm dying so you have to do what I say," he said, and fixed me with a determined but mischievous gaze.

He spoke of his death casually now, and with humor. I don't think I could have don't that in his place.

"You know, you do not play fair."

"Nope. Deal with it," he said, grinning.

I couldn't help but smile back.

"I don't like you paying for everything."

"Owen, I know your family doesn't have much money. There is absolutely no shame in that, but I know you don't have money for things like this. I do. Being with you is precious to me. The money is nothing. You are everything. From now on, there will be no arguing when I pay. Think of it as a dying wish. I'm going to milk my death for all it's worth."

I didn't like to be reminded that he was going to die, but there was no denying it. I could see it coming when I looked at him now. His physical beauty was beginning to fade. He was growing paler and thinner as the days slipped away too quickly. Kids as school had begun to notice and rumors were circulating already. The days of hiding his illness were drawing to a close. Time was moving too quickly. I wished I could slow it down and make each second last a year, a hundred years, but I could not control time.

He ordered for both of us when our waitress arrived, then looked around at all the Chouteau memorabilia on the walls.

"Chouteau must be a nice place to grow up. I've only been here since the beginning of school, but I feel at home."

"Chouteau is a nice place, but maybe you appreciate it more because you're from San Diego.

"I'm not really from San Diego," he said. "That's where I lived before moving here, but being a navy brat, I've lived all over the country. I was actually born in Bremerton Washington, and I've lived in Pearl Harbor Hawaii, Norfolk Virginia, Jacksonville Florida and even one foreign country, Italy. If I hadn't developed this brain tumor, dad might have made Admiral by now and we could be living somewhere else besides here."

"Your dad was an Admiral?" I asked, surprised.

"No, he was only a Captain, actually the Commodore of Destroyer Squadron 23 (DESRON23), but he would have been if not for me. He decided to retire early so we could be together during my last year. He gave up his career for me. He wanted to be near his family and he's originally from this town. My mom is from the area as well, so they decided to come home."

"Wow!" was all I could say.

"I think maybe it takes someone from somewhere else to appreciate any place. San Diego was fine, but it was too big and too crowded. It takes forever to go anywhere. There's plenty to see and do in Southern California, but it's gotten crazy over the last few years."

"Do you miss it?"

"Yeah, especially my teammates and friends."

"Did you tell them why you were moving?"

"No. Why burden them with that? My illness was undetectable when I left so they never suspected. Plus, most of them have military fathers, and moving every few years comes with the territory. I considered not getting close to anyone here, but that would've been lonely and I can't seem to help but make friends."

"I'm glad you decided to have friends and a boyfriend," I said.

"I sometimes feel that I'm being cruel to you. I know this can't be easy for you."

"You gave me my life back. I would be dead now if it wasn't for you. Even ignoring that, I would suffer anything for the time we've had. Losing you will hurt me worse than anything ever has, but it's still worth it, and I won't be alone."

"I'm glad you have the others and your family."

"Me too. I was so alone before I met you. I didn't even feel like a part of my own family, but now I do."

He smiled, as he did so often and so easily.

The sinful French toast smelled heavenly when it arrived. I had never tasted it before, but I was hooked the moment I did.

"This may be the best thing ever," I said.

"Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I tried it the first time. Who would have thought of making French toast out of a sticky bun?"

"How is it that you know more about Chouteau than me?"

"I like to explore and experience new things."

"I'm glad you introduced this to me."

"You are welcome."

Near us someone's phone chimed. He suddenly looked sad.

"What is it?" I asked.

" Silent Night ," he said.

"What?

"The ringtone."

"Oh, yeah. I wasn't paying attention. It is a bit early for Christmas ringtones."

"I love Christmas. I love the music and the decorations and all those Hallmark Christmas movies. Every year on Christmas, my whole family watches A Charlie Brown Christmas . It's my absolute favorite Christmas special."

He suddenly began to cry. He was always so upbeat and cheerful that it shocked and frightened me. I quickly moved to his side of the booth and hugged him. He quieted and wiped his eyes after only a few moments.

"I'm sorry," he said.

"You don't have anything to be sorry about. You have more reason to cry than anyone."

"It's just that Christmas has always been really, really special to me. receiving presents isn't the reason I love Christmas so, although I like getting gifts. It's the whole season. When I heard that little bit of Silent Night just now, it hit me that I won't be here at Christmas. I knew I wouldn't, but…"

"You might be."

He shook his head.

"No, I'll be gone before Thanksgiving. My time is very short now, Owen. I can feel it. I've already had my last Christmas."

His eyes watered and I began to cry. He hugged me this time. I felt so foolish. He was dying and I was crying.

"Sorry," I said when I got myself under control.

"As someone very wise once said not very long ago, 'you don't have anything to be sorry about.'"

I laughed, even though tears still flowed from my eyes.

"You know what I think we need to do?" I asked.

"What?"

"Go to the library and check out some Hallmark Christmas movies to watch."

"Will you watch some with me?"

"Leif, I will do anything you want."

He grinned.

"We don't have to go to the library. We have a collection at home. I haven't even watched some of the yet."

"Then, we will."

"Has anyone ever told you that you are the world's best boyfriend?"

"Well, no. How could they? You're my first boyfriend," I said.

"Well, you are."

"No, you are," I said and meant.

I pulled my food over to me so I could sit beside him.

"What do you like best about Christmas, the very best?" I asked.

"That's really tough. I don't think I can even answer that. I love the music and the movies like I said. The food is incredible too. I love the scents, like the scent of a fresh pine tree. I like how people are nicer at that time of year. I think maybe that what I like best of all is giving presents, but it's very hard to say because I love it all."

"Giving, huh? Not getting?

"Oh, getting is good, but giving is the best."

"Not me. I'm all about getting. It's the gift getting season."

He laughed.

"That last bit is from A Charlie Brown Christmas you know!"

"Yeah, it's on TV every year."

"What's your favorite thing about Christmas?" he asked.

"The tree. We always have a tree. We may not have many presents or much special food, but we always have a tree. I love the decorations down town too. Chouteau isn't big, but every business and most homes are lit up with lights. It's beautiful."

"What else goes on here at Christmas?"

"Everyone goes to the Granger Christmas Tree Farm to buy a tree and there's always free hot cocoa and Christmas cookies. There are lots of lights and displays. It's beautiful."

"Does it snow?"

"Are you kidding? By Christmas, sometimes the weather forecast is for snow to be up to a foot deep in places!"

"I've never seen snow. Well, I've seen it in movies, but it doesn't snow in San Diego."

"Ever?"

"I don't know about ever, but it never did when I lived there."

"That's hard to imagine. In Chouteau it doesn't snow all that much, but usually about twice a year."

He sighed.

"There is so much I wish I could see, but you know what? I've seen so many wonderful things in my life and had so much fun. I've met so many great people, like you. Even if I lived a hundred years, I could never see and do everything."

"That's true."

"Yeah. I'm sorry I won't get to see Chouteau at Christmas, but I've already seen so much. I'm really very lucky."

He meant it. He was fourteen and would never live to see fifteen, but he meant it.

We lingered over breakfast, although it was actually our lunch, and then walked to his house. We went to his room. He wasn't kidding about having Christmas movies. He looked through his library on Amazon Prime and there were tons of them.

"You are a Christmas freak," I said.

"Yes! Oh, this one. Mom said it was great. I didn't watch it because I was at a sleepover that night, I think."

He hit the play button on the remote and Snowed-Inn Christmas began to play. His mom arrived with hot cocoa a few minutes later and it even had little marshmallows on top."

Watching a Christmas movie and drinking hot coco made it actually feel like Christmas. It was as if we were transported there. Him and I cuddled together and I wished we could keep doing so forever.

Grayson came in and joined us a few minutes after we started watching the movie, but that was okay. He didn't bother us or tease us. He merely watched the movie with us. I found myself wishing I had a little brother like him and realized that I did. Yeah, Chad could be a pain in the butt at times, but when it came down to it, I loved him.

I think all of us were surprised it was not December when the movie ended. Hallmark had transported us to Christmas for over an hour. Leif had experienced Christmas. That gave me an idea.

Grayson made himself scarce and Leif and I sat on the edge of his bed. We gazed at each other a moment and then kissed. Our kiss deepened and we spent the next several minutes making out.

"This is awesome!" Leif said. "Look at all the scarecrows! Hey, that one look like you."

"Funny."

"He does. He's cute. Oh wow, a bonfire."

"Yeah, we can roast marshmallows if you want."

"Let's do it."

Leif had never been to the Granger Christmas Tree Farm for their fall celebration. He had never been there period. It wasn't difficult to get his mom to drop us off. She would return for us when he called her later.

Him and I sat on a bale of straw and roasted marshmallows. His came out perfectly. Some of mine were a little crispy and black.

"This is really great. We didn't do stuff like this in San Diego."

"It's not fall in Chouteau without roasting marshmallows."

"Thanks for telling me about this."

Noah Granger, one of the owners of the farm walked by and smiled at me.

"Are you flirting with him?" Leif teased.

"No. I already have a boyfriend. That was Noah Granger, who along with his partner, Erik Van Dorn, own the Christmas tree farm. They're only about ten years older than us and have been together since they were our age."

"You mean they're… gay?"

"Yes. Noah and his father own the farm itself, while Erik's father owns the big farm supply store north of town."

"Isn't he handsome?" Leif said. "Can you believe his biceps? His sleeves look ready to rip from the strain of holding them in. He must have been something else when he was younger."

"Hey, I don't go around checking out older men."

He shouldered me and smiled.

"Don't you love the scent of the wood smoke?" he asked.

"Yeah, and I don't mind the warmth either."

"This is wonderful. I could sit right here all evening."

"We can come back later I you like, but there is a lot to see."

"There is more than I expected."

"I told you it was a big deal."

"Yeah, but I didn't think it would be this cool."

"Come on. I will show you just how cool it is."

Him and I began to explore. We checked out scarecrows and drank hot cider next. Looking at the scarecrows tool longer than one would think because there were dozens of them. Each was uniquely dressed.

Leif was paler and thinner than he had been, but he was still beautiful. He would always be beautiful to me. He tired easily now so we frequently sat on the hay bales placed here and there as resting places for visitors. Already, he was not the boy I had met. He was full of energy and life then. Now, it was as if his batteries were running low. I wondered if that is what happened to people when they grew old.

We enjoyed ourselves despite his limitations. I didn't mind sitting and doing nothing because I was with the boy I loved. The joy in his eyes made me happy. I could tell without asking that he loved being here.

"I can smell the wood smoke even here. I wish I could take that scent home with me," he said.

"Oh, you can. Sniff your flannel shirt."

"Hey, it's wood smoke scented."

"Yeah, and it will probably smell like that for days until you wash it."

"I may sleep with this shirt tonight."

"I'm jealous."

"You're jealous of a shirt?"

"Yes, because it gets to sleep with you."

He gave me a one arm hug.

"Don't worry. I will always love you more than this shirt."

"That would make a nice greeting card."

He lightly punched my shoulder, then breathed in deeply.

"Fall has it's own scent here. It wasn't like that in San Diego. I don't mean the wood smoke, but the other scent."

"Yeah, I know what you mean."

"I love that scent. I'm so glad I'm able to experience it. There is so much I would not have experienced if we hadn't moved here." Him and I drew closer and kissed. "Like that."

"You can have all of that you want."

He kissed me again.

Later, we walked toward the corn maze. I had just enough money to pay for us both. I knew he would try to pay, but I didn't want him to pay for everything.

"Let me get this," I said as we approached.

"No, your money is no good here. Go on in, but try not to get permanently lost," Cameron, who was manning the booth at the entrance said.

"Thanks!" I said.

"That was really nice," Leif said as we entered.

"Yeah."

We almost immediately got lost in the maze, which was kind of the point. We did our best, but after half an hour we still couldn't find out way out. We spent some of that time sitting on hay bales so he could rest. We used that time to make out some more. Making out was actually the best part of the maze.

Wondering around in the maze was disorienting, confusing, and fun. The corn was well over our heads and it was impossible to see through the stalks very far. I felt as if I was lost in the middle of a cornfield, which I guess I was. The maze covered quite a large area, but seemed much larger than it was.

"I'm getting pretty tired," he said at last.

"Want to take one of the quick exits?"

"Yeah, if you don't mind."

"Of course I don't."

Well-marked quick exits were placed here and there for those who could not find their way out. We took the next one we spotted and were soon outside the maze.

"That was fun," he said as he sank down on a bale of straw again.

"Yeah, but I don't think we would have ever found a way out of there."

"We could have been in there for days without the quick exits. They would have had to send in a search party."

"That would have made a great headline for the Chouteau Advance . 'Boys Rescued From Corn Maze After Being Lost for Five Days.' "

We returned to the bonfire after he had rested up. We roasted a few more marshmallows, but mostly we sat close and enjoyed the warmth of the fire and being together. It was one of the best days of my life.

"Come on! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!"

"Chad, if you don't show more enthusiasm, I'm not going to take you trick or treating."

He laughed and pulled me toward the door. He was dressed as Charlie Brown, from, 'It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown', which meant he wore a sheet with too many eye holes over his head. We couldn't afford nice costumes, but his looked cool and he thought of it himself.

Leif and Grayson were joining us, so we hit their house first. Leif opened the door himself when Chad knocked.

"Oh no! I already gave away all the rocks! You'll have to take this," he said, dumping the entire bowl of candy into Chad's bag.

It was a huge bowl, too."

"Thanks!" Chad said. He hugged Leif and then pulled off his sheet. "It's me!"

"I thought Charlie Brown was under there," Leif said.

Chad laughed.

"How do you like my costume?" I asked.

"Uh… you aren't wearing one."

"Sure I am. I'm going as Owen. I look just like me, don't you think?"

"Well, we had similar ideas. I'm going as Leif tonight."

"You look exactly like you."

He leaned in and we kissed.

"Eww!" Chad said.

"You're next!" Leif said, acting like he was going to grab Chad, who squealed and ran down the steps. "Who says I don't know how to scare kids on Halloween?"

I laughed.

"Grayson, come on!" he said. "We're leaving, mom."

"Okay, Dear. Are you dressed warmly?"

"Yes, mother."

He rolled his eyes as Grayson stepped out. He was dressed as Captain America. His costume was complete with fake muscles.

"Cool costume!" Chad said.

"You too! That's awesome! I never thought of going as Charlie Brown."

"Yeah, and I've decided that if I get any rocks, I'm giving them to Owen."

"You're so thoughtful, Chad. Hey, I know a trick you can try later. Get a little superglue, put it on the tips of your fingers, then reach around a tree and press your fingers together," I said.

"Does your brother think he's funny too?" he asked Grayson.

"Yeah, it's sad."

"Get moving you two," Leif said, kicking his brother in the butt.

"Child abuse! Child abuse!" Grayson yelled, but then he laughed and hurried up the sidewalk with Chad.

"Your little brother is a lot like Chad. I'm truly sorry."

"He's entertaining."

"Do you remember how exciting it was to go trick or treating when you were younger?"

"Oh yeah, it was a big deal. I always wished I lived in the old days when kids could go trick or treating in the dark. Now, it's only just beginning to get dark at the end of trick or treating hours. It seems like everyone now is always afraid something bad will happen. Everyone is almost too afraid to live their lives."

"So, you're a daredevil, huh?"

"No, but I've always tried to do what I want to do even if it's not entirely safe. It's a matter of balancing risk with fun."

"Yeah, if you think about it, no one is ever safe."

"True, so why not let kids go trick or treating in the dark when it's spooky and fun."

"I think Chad and Grayson are having fun anyway," I said, pointing a short way down the street where they were leaving a house with their loot.

"That's the problem with kids these days! They don't realize when something isn't fun," he grumbled as if he was an old man.

"Yeah, this younger generation is a mess. Now, old fourteen-year-old guys like us are different."

He grinned.

We shadowed our brothers as they made their rounds to homes with their porch lights on. That was the signal that it was okay to trick or treat at that house. Occasionally, we had to wait a bit, and when we did, we used the opportunity to make out.

"They're at it again," Grayson said when he and Chad returned from yet another front door.

"We have to do something while we're waiting on you," Leif said.

"What's so hot about shoving your tongue in someone's mouth?" Grayson asked.

"You'll understand in a few years."

"Well, I'm not kissing a girl! Yuck!"

"How about a boy?"

Grayson wrinkled his nose. He was obviously too young to be interested in sex, although I seemed to remember being a horndog when I was ten. Perhaps it was a false memory. I did remember becoming much more interested in boys when I was twelve. Puberty hit me like a truck.

"Move it, delinquents. We don't have all evening to waste on you," I said.

"That means they have something naughty planned for later," Chad said.

I shook my fist at him and he raced off with Grayson.

"That's not a bad idea," I said.

"We could take a walk after trick or treating."

"You mean… when it's getting dark?" I asked as if the idea shocked me.

"I live for danger. Besides, what do I have to lose."

"Yeah, but what about me?"

"I'll make it worth your while."

I began to breathe a little harder.

I took his hand and we walked along the streets of Chouteau. Jack-o-lanterns grinned at us from porch railings and an occasional witch or ghost hund from a tree. Miniature goblins ran about with their parents or older siblings extorting treats from residents.

Him and I sat down now and then so he could rest. I wondered if he'd really be up for a walk later. I hoped so because I wanted to make out with him and maybe do more.

"My bag is completely full!" Chad said as we walked away from a house.

"You know, you have to eat all that tonight or it disappears," I said.

"Ha! You just want me to get sick!"

"I don't really think you're stupid enough to eat a grocery bag full of candy."

"Yeah, just like I wasn't stupid enough to do that electricity experiment with a fork and an electrical outlet you wanted me to try! He actually tried to get me to do that!" he said to Leif.

"Surely not."

"You should still do it, Chad. It's fun!"

"Then you do it!"

"I don't think so!"

"Thanks for taking me tonight, Owen."

"Yeah, thanks for taking us," Grayson said.

"It's what big brothers are for. You know I'm the cool big brother right. Anthony is a loser."

"Since you took me trick or treating tonight, I won't tell him you said that."

He actually hugged me right in front of Grayson, but then Grayson hugged Leif. I once thought Chad was an annoying brat, but not anymore. The truth was that I loved him.

"Are you guys ready to stop?" Leif asked.

"Yeah, I don't need any more candy and Chad can barely carry his," Grayson said.

"We'll drop you off, Chad, and then take Grayson home."

"Yeah, drop me off like a sack of garbage. You see how he treats me. I'm so unwanted," Chad said to Grayson.

"That would be more believable if you hadn't just hugged me," I said.

"Drat!"

We deposited my brother at my house and then walked to Leif's. Grayson ran inside and Leif and I sat on a glider on the porch.

"We don't have to go for a walk if you're too tired," I said.

"We could… walk to the back yard. I'll show you the tree house."

There was something in his tone that excited me.

"I'd like that."

We got up and walked around the side of the house and into the back yard. Near the very back stood an enormous tree, but it was getting dark enough I couldn't tell what kind. He walked to the base of the tree and pulled himself up the ladder. Soon, we were inside and there was just enough moonlight coming in that we could see.

"This is nice," I said.

The tree house was carpeted and had a large mattress on one side.

"Yeah, I used to spend a lot of time up here. Grayson mostly uses it now."

He scooted onto the mattress and patted the space beside him. I sat down and turned to him. We began to make out.

As we kissed, he pushed me onto my back. I was slightly fearful as he lowered himself onto me because I was completely hard and there was no hiding it. I didn't need to worry, because he was every bit as hard. We continued to make out and he pressed his bulge into mine.

After a long while, he pulled back and looked down at me.

"I want to do more than make out, Owen. I don't want to die a virgin."

I gulped and my dick flexed. I was both scared and turned on. He began to run his hands over my body and I let him. He pulled off his shirt and then mine. We were going to do it! We were really going to do it!

We slowly pulled off our clothes while we made out, until we were both naked. He began to kiss my chest and worked his way lower. Very soon, I received my first blow job ever.

I don't want to go into details, but it was… indescribable. All too soon I moaned and I swear my eyes rolled back into my head.

I wasted no time in returning the favor. He was bigger than me and I didn't know what I was doing, but his moans and whimpers let me know he liked it. Very soon he moaned loudly.

We lay on our backs panting for a few moments. I didn't pant from exertion but from the intensity of sex.

"That was incredible," he said.

"Yes, it was. I've always wondered what it would be like."

"Now you know and I hope you want to do it often."

"Oh, I do!"

"Owen, I want to do more. I want to go all the way."

"Me too," I said.

I knew we were moving fast, but he didn't have much time left. I wasn't doing it just for him. I wanted it.

He must have planned ahead because he had a tube of lube stashed in the tree house. I didn't know who was going to top and who bottom until he squirted lube in his hand and grasped my still hard dick. I feared I might lose control, but he soon stopped.

"What do I do?" I asked.

"Just lie on your back."

He straddled me and then lowered himself. Nothing was happening and I was sure it wasn't going to work, but then my dick slipped in.

"Oww!" he said as he grimaced.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it just… hurts."

He took a few deep breaths and then began to lower himself. He was breathing very hard. I resisted the instinct to push into him. He opened his mouth and moaned.

"How is it?" I asked.

"It's beginning to feel really good. You?"

"It's even better than a blowjob."

He lowered himself all the way and then began to move up and down. He went faster and faster and moaned louder and louder. In only moments I felt something hot and sticky hit my face and then I groaned and lost control.

He climbed off me, hissed with pain for a moment and then lay down beside me.

"I didn't think I was going to be able to do that, but once I got going… wow!"

"Does it stop hurting after a while?"

"It kind of still hurts some, but even that feels good. I know that doesn't make sense, but it's true."

I chewed on my lip.

"Do you want me to try it, like you just did?" I asked.

"I'd like that, but only if you want to do it."

"I want to try it."

He retrieved the bottle of lube and I climbed on top of him. My boyfriend gave me directions to make it easier. He warned me to be careful or he'd slip into me suddenly and that would hurt. His instructions helped. He slipped into me slowly and while it hurt some, it mostly felt heavenly. Soon, I was encouraging him to thrust into me. Far too quickly, I groaned and lost control. I felt the unique sensation of him throbbing inside me as he moaned with passion.

I lay down beside him, gasping as if I'd been running.

"That was amazing, but I suspect I looked ridiculous moaning with my mouth open," I said when I was able.

"You looked incredibly sexy. Thank you for this, Owen. I didn't want to miss this experience. I'm very glad it was with you."

"I'm glad my first time was with you. We just did a lot of firsts."

"Yeah, we hit everything I wanted to try."

"Anytime you want to do it again, I'm willing."

"Oh, I want to do it again, but just not now." He interlaced his fingers with mine. "I'm so lucky I met you, Owen. You don't know what our relationship has meant to me. without you, I would have died without having ever known love."

"Your family and friends love you."

"Yes, but that's a different kind of love. I wish I could spend my life with you. Well, I can, but you know what I mean. If I was able to grow old, I'd want to do it with you at my side."

"I wish you could because I would love to spend my life with you."

"We have this time, Owen, and we're lucky for that. I'll always remember this evening and you."

"I'll never forget, even if I live to be a hundred."

"I hope you do, live to be a hundred that is."

We were silent for a good, long time until he sat up.

"I should go in before they wonder why I've been gone so long."

"Yeah, I should go home too. Moms are worriers."

"Yes, but it's kind of nice, isn't it?"

"It's mostly a pain, but it is sort of nice too."

We dressed and then kissed again. I could tell he was very tired, so I bid him good night at the back door and then walked around to the front and home.

I announced my arrival as I entered and went straight upstairs. Anthony was doing curls shirtless. It would be nice to have a body like his, but I didn't think I wanted to put in the work.

He eyed me suspiciously and put down his dumbbells.

"What?" I asked.

"You look different."

"I do?"

"There is something about you…"

He drew closer and sniffed.

"You'd better take a shower before you get around mom."

"Why?"

"Because you smell like jizz." I could feel my face go red. "You did it with Leif, didn't you?"

"Yeah, and it was incredible."

"My little Owen is no longer a virgin. Well, technically you're a virgin until…"

"I'm no longer a virgin," I said.

"So, will you be walking funny tomorrow, or will Leif?"

"We both will."

He laughed, but it wasn't an unkind laugh.

"Congratulations, Owen."

"If you'd like details…"

"Oh no."

"You mean, not even about when Leif got out the lube and…"

"Stop, or I will beat you."

I grinned and stripped off my shirt. I truly did need a shower.

That night I lay in bed replaying all that had happened in the tree house. Sex had been different than I thought it would be, but it was wonderful. It was an evening I would never forget.
